ADWAR initiated the implementation of " Social Movement of Bedouin Women " project activities
Roles For Social Change Association (ADWAR) started today in the Association Hall the implementation of " Social Movement Of Bedouin women in the International month for the elimination of violence "Project , in partnership with Catholic Relief Services CRS in the framework of Civic Participation Program CPP , funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development USAID , where the project aims to promote the young women and youth participation in the community life and to impact on local councils in marginalized Bedouin communities southeast of Yatta in Hebron in order to provide community services that take into account the needs of both gender equality.
Dalia Association is a Winner of the Arcus Global Social Justice Prize
Dalia Association has won the Kalamazoo Collage Global Prize for Collaborative Social Justice Leadership. Amongst 188 submissions from around the world our film was nominated as a finalist, and we were invited, along with14 other finalists, to Kalamazoo College in Michigan to present Dalia’s work. The film is 10 minutes long and follows the team at Dalia visiting various community projects across Palestine. Made by the brilliant Palestinian filmmaker, Sami Alalul, it shows the spirit of abundance, of self-determination, and of possibility that pervades our work.
Dalia film was nominated for Sima competition 2013
Dalia film about the system of Aid given to Palestine was nominated for Sima competition to raise international awareness about social justice and human rights through real and realistic stories. 267 films from individuals and associations applied for the competition. Dalia film was one of the 30 films nominated to win the award.
