About

The Visual Arts Forum, is a leading Palestinian institution in the field of culture and Visual Arts, which aims to promote community development in the arts sector for youth and children. It was established in 2002 as a non-profit organization and is registered with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior. Through its activities, the forum instils important values of equality, voluntary action, transparency and accountability. The Forum has impacted around 30,000 children, youth, teachers and artists.
The Forum seeks to integrate all efforts and initiatives aimed at enabling Palestinians in all regions, regardless of their age, gender, or financial situation, to enhance their creativity and ownership of a vibrant culture, and to provide opportunities for excellence and artistic creativity. The Forum strives for art to be a way of life, to be used effectively in societal development, and to spread the appreciation of art as a means of expression, change and entertainment in Palestinian society.
The Forum, through its four programs, offers a range of services and activities related and specializing in visual arts. These programs are:
• The Visual Arts Education Program
• The Psychosocial Support through Arts Program
• The Lobbying & Advocacy Program
• The Economic Empowerment through Arts Program

Vision
Towards a Palestinian society that is aware of its culture and identity and believes that art and creativity are essential tools for expression, change, development, and the promotion of free thought.
Mission
Mission: We seek to provide opportunities to learn the visual arts, expand their uses in creating change, and promote free thought.
Objectives

1. Deepening national cultural awareness; 2. Investing in educational curricula and extracurricular activities aimed at creating a citizen who is able to defend his national and historical narrative, and who believes in the values and principles that achieve good citizenship and the right to know; 3. Supporting creativity and talent in order to improve the level and quality of productions; 4. Investing in cultural infrastructure (physical and intangible).
