Geopolitical Status of Bethlehem Governorate

The book presents the geopolitical status of Bethlehem Governorate. It starts with an overview of the Israeli segregation plan in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and then discusses the how Palestinian resources like agricultural areas, forests and water are isolated by this segregation plan. The book also includes a historical background of the changing boundaries of Bethlehem Governorate, and the changes under Oslo agreement. In addition, the book presents the military orders in the area, and the Israeli colonization activities including settlements’ outposts, and the new Israeli settlements’ plans near Har Homa (Abu Ghnaim) and Giv’at Yael, and Rachel’s Tomb settlements. Furthermore, information about bypass roads, Israeli checkpoints, the segregation wall, and the impact of all these on the social life, economy, and demography are presented
