Association for Integrated Rural Development (AIRD) is a nonprofit nongovernmental politically impartial organization founded by a group of distinguished Palestinian academics in 2007 in Ramallah and officially registered in 2008 in accordance to the Palestinian law of charity associations under the registration number RA- 22603- EN. The initiative for AIRD founding came from a group of Palestinian experts and researchers, who have profound experience in research and development work. Those initiators aimed to bring their aspirations to realities, and to reflect their vision in establishing a leading model of integration between research and development for the benefit of rural communities in Palestine
