Assalama assembly is a charity association. It is founded in 2004. It's the first and the only care assembly for the wounded and disabled patients from the Israeli occupation. The association was established after the repeated invasions on Gaza Strip, especially after the invasion of the northern Gaza Strip in October 2004. this invasion led to many permanent disabilities as well as the repeated attacks ,so Assalama Association take the responsibility to develop comprehensive care programs for this group of community, including health and social care and rehabilitation of various kinds. Firstly, the association starts its work in a rented storehouse in Jaalya refugee camp. The numbers of its beneficiaries are 520 wounded. Then it expands into a small apartment. During the period from 2004 to 2006 the Association evolves Services to become the number of it’s beneficiaries up to 2800 wounded were receiving services through technicians and professionals teams deployed in the camp. and due to the repeated violence operations of Zionist invasion to the Palestinian territories, after the end of each sweep there are so many wounded ,so the Assembly decided to start an integrated project to serve those people . On the tenth of May in 2005, we started to build a headquarters for Asalama charity association on a piece of land with an area of ​​acres and a half. After that the association continued it's efforts to provide the necessary support to create the first and the second phases of the association building project .the first phase is include a ground floor mall with rooms for physiotherapy, rehabilitation and administration offices, in addition to wedding hall, and the second phase it's about a processing association's garden. On the fifth of February in 2006 the association started to work at the new headquarters after the completion of the first and second phases in a cost of nearly one million dollars, until the association has become one of the highlights in Palestine and a beacon of civilization and humanity. Due to the geographic region and diversity of the injured were in a different sector showed the urgent need to mainstream the idea of ​​the Assembly to reach services to all governorates of the Gaza Strip, so the association decided to open branches in major provinces, namely: Rafah, Khan Yunis, Central Gaza, and the north. The aim of these branches is to provide services and facilitation for the wounded in all areas. Also as a response to emergency conditions of the Palestinian people in recent times and the urgent need for the Palestinian community in many areas, so the association has launched and implemented many of emergency relief projects that aim to alleviate the suffering of our community. The association still strives to provide the best services for the wounded, and we hope to be unique in our service to make the wounded inspire the spirit of hope. The association services provided through the staff previously prepared and equipped to be an integrated service and these services are provided by 42 worker are working in various sections of the association.
