The project aims at developing women's knowledge and skills for the establishment and management of productive economic projects in the field of (production of food, sweets, wool and cosmetics) in order to contribute to the creation of job opportunities and participate in economic life and increase their contribution to the gross domestic product. As well as strengthening the mechanisms of networking and coordination between targeted women and representatives of the private sector and chambers of commerce in order to transform productive enterprises from the informal sector to the formal sector through the establishment of companies registered by the Ministry of Economy and Chambers of Commerce. As a result, contribute to achieving sustainability and reduce the incidence of poverty and unemployment among women.
The project contains many activities including need assessment meetings, technical training program and a capacity building that contributes to develop the capacities of women in order to manage their projects. in parallel with private sector representatives to register their projects formally.
As ADWAR’s general director Sahar Yousef AlKawasmeh referred that this project comes within the economic program of ADWAR. In which aims to raise Palestinian women and young women’s capacities in economic fields and contribute in redeeming gender gaps in the ratio of economic participation of women and men. In addition to institutionalizing sustainable projects for priority women in order to empower themselves socially and economically and protect their families from poverty.
