Agency name
Anna Lindh Foundation
"Policy Dialogue with the EU High-Representative for Foreign Affairs"

An EU Initiative in association with Young Mediterranean Voices

Brussels, 22-23 March 2017

Deadline to respond to this call for interest: 19th February 2017 (17h Egypt-time)

The initiative will centre on a two-day forum in Brussels, that includes a dialogue meeting with the EU High-Representative for Foreign Affairs and outreach activities with Brussels-based institutions, policy-makers and civil society networks. It is being run in association with "Young Mediterranean Voices" (YMV), the flag-ship regional debate programme that was launched at MED FORUM (following the successful forerunner "Young Arab Voices"), and will include YMV ambassadors with a proven track record of youth agency in diverse socio-cultural settings across the region. The initial outcomes of the Brussels forum will be presented on 24th March in Rome on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, that laid the foundations of the modern EU, and as part of the debate on the future of the EU.

Review the criteria, apply by 19th February 2017, and get involved in this pioneering initiative that will be the basis for a new, long-term structured dialogue involving EU decision-makers, regional institutions and authentic youth voices from the south and north of the Mediterranean.

The two-day forum is carried out through the Anna Lindh Foundation’s Action Grant with the European Commission (“Bringing people together for fostering common values across the Mediterranean”).  Please note that the implementation of this Initiative remains subject to final date confirmation and related resourcing.
