The call main focus will be on the priorities that aim at strengthening the role of civil society in ensuring respect for human rights fundamental freedoms of association, assembly and movement, promoting and protecting the rights of vulnerable groups including children, women, people with disability and the principle of non-discrimination; promoting respect for International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (IHL) and promoting effective reporting and implementation of treaties, agreement, conventions and optional protocols to which Palestine has acceded. The call also aims at the reinforcement of Human Rights Defenders and CSO's initiatives to promote the work/mandate an their fundamental freedom of expression and access to information and fight against all forms of hate speeches and incitement based on intolerance.
The financial assistance is allocated from the 2018 and 2019 budgets of European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR-CBSS) and funds from the Annual Action Programme 2018 financed under the European Neighbourhood Instrument.
