Future Generation Hands Association
History
The Future Generation Hands Association (FGHA) was established on the 13th of October 2005. It is recognised and credited by the Palestinian Authoritie's Ministry of Interior. FGHA was established as a sub-organisation to the Nablus Youth Federation (NYF), a local NGO that was created to help the many disadvantaged youths of the city of Nablus. Inspired by the excellent work the NYF had done, FGHA believed that expanding its own social activities to cover a larger sector was a national and social duty. It aimed to improve the cultural scene and the spirit of voluntary teamwork within the largest and the most important sector of Palestinian society, its youth. FGHA's key aim was to move the NYF's activities from the local to the national level. It believed that to instil a spirit of achievement within Palestinian youth, encouraging them to participate in economic and developmental strategies through volunteer-based social action projects was its fundamental objective. In doing so, the FGHA aimed not only to aid the youth, but to contribute towards the regeneration of Palestinian society as a whole. Believing that they could fostering dialogue, creating safe spaces and enabling development across Palestine.
