Al Zahraa Society for Women and Child Development was established in the Middle Area Governorate within a period of 14 years of knowledge and experience in the project of woman Empowerment and Rehabilitation at Gaza Community Mental Health Program . The idea of establishing " Al Zahraa Society for Women and Child Development " originated from D. Eyad El Sarraj who supports and stands by women project centers through Gaza Community Mental Health Program to be quite ready for independent work In from of women societies caring for both woman and child affairs as well . In September 2008 a decision was issued to start execution of the idea . Accordingly, women Empowerment Project and Rehabilitation began in the Middle Area for serious determination to obtain a license from the concerned ministry  . The license came out on March 2010 under the name " Al Zahraa Society for Women and Child Development " aiming to serve Gaza Strip . It is and extension to Woman Empowerment for supporting women by creating programs specializing in women and child's affairs  , which are able to face challenges and work independently .
