The NGO Development Center signs a grant agreement with Adala Legal Center

The NGO Development Center , NDC, has signed in Saturday 15/8/2009 a grant agreement with the Legal Center for Arab Minority in Israel , Adala, for a total of USD 25,000.

The grant came as part of the Human Rights and Good Governance project that NDC is managing and funded by four European states, namely Switzerland, Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden .

By the agreement, Adala will implement a two phase project that lasts until the end of the year. The first phase will enable Adala to stand out against the 2020 Israeli plan that seeks to illegally annex Jerusalem to the Israeli civil administration authority. The plan is an explicit a violation of the International law that considers Jerusalem as part of the occupied Arab land, which Israel grabbed during the 1967 war.

The next phase will be allocated for unveiling the Israeli policies that funneling investments to illegal settlements in West Bank to encourage settlers to dwell there through a variety of incentives.

The grant agreement was signed by Ghassan Kasabreh, NDC Director, and Reeta Jabraeen, the Adala representative. The ceremony took place at the NDC premises in Al Ram and attended by Ms. Jamileh Sahlieh the NDC Gant Programme Manager, and Mr. Mamoun Attili, Human Rights and Good Governance Outreach Specialist

Its worth mentioning that NDC has signed so far 38 grants agreements, with 38 local NGOs working in the filed of HR and good governance in the Palestinian Occupied Territory (oPt).
