Al-Fajr Palestinian Youth Association was established in response to the complex political, economic, and humanitarian challenges facing the Gaza Strip. Since its founding, the organization has played an active role in supporting vulnerable and marginalized groups, particularly during times of crisis.
Over more than two decades of operation, Al-Fajr has developed strong expertise in humanitarian action and community-based development. The Association has implemented emergency response programs during major crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic and recurring conflicts in Gaza. Its Emergency Program provides rapid and comprehensive assistance, including food distribution, water supply, shelter support, medical assistance, and psychosocial services for displaced and affected populations.
Beyond emergency interventions, Al-Fajr has expanded its work to include:
Economic empowerment programs for youth and women, supporting small businesses and income-generating initiatives.
Psychosocial support and protection programs for women, children, and adolescents.
Education and community awareness initiatives.
Agriculture and environmental programs aimed at enhancing food security and climate resilience.
Institutional capacity development to strengthen governance, financial systems, and operational effectiveness.
Through strategic partnerships with local and international organizations, Al-Fajr has reached thousands of beneficiaries across the Gaza Strip and continues to contribute to sustainable recovery, resilience building, and long-term community development.
