نبذة عن المؤسسة

WCLAC is a Palestinian, feminist, non-governmental organization that works to protect and promote women’s human rights within the framework of international human rights mechanisms and standards. The heart of its work revolves around monitoring, documentation and advocacy at the local and international levels; providing social and legal services to women victims of violence and those whose human rights have been violated; undertaking awareness, advocacy, training and legal reform programs to ensure gender equality; developing the capacity of grassroots organizations and volunteer groups, all within the framework of an effective organization that works in a complementary way through the various program and administrative units and regional offices in order to achieve its strategic goal and objectives, which stem out of the Centre’s vision and mission.

Women’s rights are clustered and rooted in societal change, thus WCLAC also focuses on creating societal changes at different levels. Creating a change would mainly be through investing in promoting local leaderships among the community that would embrace and lead the local, national and international advocacy efforts of WCLAC.

Furthermore, WCLAC seeks to be a learning organization that is led by quality, informed and daring leadership with a shared vision between all its staff, governing bodies, and its constituencies and beneficiaries.
