Rafiq Al-Darb association had a workshop on Thursday 19-5-2011. This workshop addressed parents of people with special needs and the trainer Mahran Al-Taweel from YMCA lectured the parents in this workshop and provide them with some strategies they should follow to deal with people with special needs in order to make them feel better about their selves, feel active in society and impact them positively.
Members of Jemima organization and Health Work Committees participated in supporting our case.
The association had another workshop on Tuesday 31 in Husan Town where they addressed people with special needs and their parents and aware them about their rights. The blind powerful trainer, Shatha Abu Srur, enlightened the parents and those with special needs about their rights.
We still have another 9 workshops to promote the community awareness about the issues related to disability and challenges encountering people with special needs and how to empower their copying capacities.
