The Palestinian Center of Youth Action for Community Development was established on May 25th, 2005 and registered with the Palestinian Ministry of Youth and Sport on April 11th, 2006. Two board elections conducted so far, the last one was on April 27th, 2010 Right after the elections, and two-day strategic planning workshop (21 and 27 of May 2010) conducted at Al Phoenix Center in Dhesheh Camp. The plan covers the next five years. The original name of the center was the Lighting Candles but in the general assembly members agreed to change the name of the center to LAYLAC which stands for” The Palestinian Center of Youth Action for Locality Development”
