The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is pleased to announce the launch of the Expression of Interest (EoI) process for potential partnership opportunities with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). This EoI is specifically intended for organizations implementing education and youth programming in Palestine.
NRC has been operating in Gaza and in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since 2009 addressing the region’s deeply rooted structural challenges. NRC’s mission is to ensure that Palestinians affected by or threatened by displacement have access to humanitarian assistance and protection. NRC implements its programmes through a robust and adaptive approach. Over the past decade, we have invested heavily in building strong partnerships with impartial local organizations. In addition to local partnerships, NRC forms consortia with other international actors to leverage key expertise and response capacities.
NRC supports formal education in displacement-affected communities in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through psychosocial support interventions, remedial education programming for school-aged girls and boys (typically aged 6 to 17 years), and teacher professional development for formal and non-formal teachers. Globally, NRC’s Education core competency also includes youth as a key target group. Youth programming is designed to foster young people's personal, social and emotional development by facilitating access to education and ensuring a seamless transition from learning to the world of work, with life skills development forming the backbone of this approach.
The purpose of this EoI is to establish a pool of local and national NGO partners implementing education and youth programs relevant to NRC's country strategy.
By participating in this EoI process, your organization will have the opportunity to be added to the local partner pool as a partner in the sector of education and youth. Once the pool of partners is established, NRC and selected organizations will sign a letter of engagement to confirm the commitment to the partnership and explore relevant funding opportunities.
Disclaimer: By submitting the EoI, your organization is NOT guaranteed to establish a partnership with NRC. Only selected organizations will be engaged in the partnership processes following this step.
To express your organization's interest, kindly submit the completed EoI template (Annex I). Upon receiving your application, we will acknowledge the receipt via email. Please note that any applications received after the deadline will not be considered. Following this, NRC will share the detailed application package with your organization.
The deadline for submitting the EoI’s Letter of Interest is October 17th, 2024. All applications should be sent via email to [email protected] with the subject line: Submission of EoI – Letter of Interest - NRC Partnership - "[Name of the Organization]".
The selection process will involve a review of the submitted EoIs by a panel established by NRC, consisting of program, compliance, and senior management representatives. Organizations with the highest scores will proceed to the next stage, which includes organizational capacity assessment and due diligence checks.
NRC is committed to ensuring an impartial, transparent, and fair selection process that aligns with our principles of equality and humanitarian ethics. We aim to identify partners who share our values and are best suited to contribute to our programs.
We are excited about the possibility of partnering with dedicated and innovative local education organizations. Your expertise and commitment to education can help us achieve our shared goals and make a significant impact in our community. We look forward to receiving your Expression of Interest and exploring how we can work together to create a meaningful and lasting impact for children in Palestine.
