The annual report highlights NDC’s 2022 programmes and accomplishments and specifically its role in achieving SDGs. The report also presents success stories from partner organizations. In 2019, NDC managed to sustain and even expand its existing programmes to include the sectors of culture, human rights, good governance, protection, health, education, employment, and provision of social services in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank including Jerusalem.
At a time when the Palestinian NGO Sector faces major challenges due to the political conditions in the Palestinian territories and the ongoing conflicts in the region, and in light of the urgent need for the services provided by the NGOs and their complimentary role in this regard to the public sector institutions, and despite the scarcity of financial resources available to NGOs, yet NDC doubled its efforts to overcome these.difficulties and challenges and continued to fulfill its mission by meeting the needs of the marginalized groups within the Palestinian society.
MA’AN Development Center is an independent Palestinian development and training institution established in January,1989, registered by law as a non-profit organization. The main office is located in Ramallah and the four branch offices are located in Gaza, Khan Younis, Tulkarem and Jenin,. MA’AN's work is informed by the necessity of creating independent, self-reliant initiatives that lead to the development of human resources for sustainable development, which incorporate values of self-sufficiency and self-empowerment.
NDC is a non-profit, non-governmental organization established in response to the need for a sustainable Palestinian mechanism for providing support to the NGO sector. By providing technical and financial support, NDC works towards developing the capacities of Palestinian NGOs for delivering quality services, especially to the poor and the marginalized; enhancing their self-reliance; and empowering them to be more sustainable.
