The Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture (TRC) has received on April 14 Ms. Estelle Kadouch, Human Rights Programme Manager, and Mr. Fadi Raad, Financial and Contractual Officer at the European Union representative office.
The first meeting was to welcome the delegation during which the human rights status in the Palestinian Territory and the center’s various programmes were discussed.
During the second meeting, which included the mangers and heads of the various departments at TRC, the discussion was focused on the two projects funded by the EU and managed by TRC, and which aim at promoting the human rights in the Palestinian territory. During this meeting, the progresses of the two projects, as well as the various activities implemented under the projects were discussed.
Dr. Mahmud Sehwail, the executive President at the center, expressed his appreciation for this visit as it reflects the interest in the center’s work with beneficiaries, and stressed on the necessity to continue the support in the human rights issue in the Palestinian Territory as on the one hand it is still under occupation and there are continuous violation for these rights, and on the other hand, to contribute to the preparation for the Palestinian State.
